My girlfriend and I were spending a weekend at the lake and we stumbled upon this new brewery along Lakeshore Drive that we had not seen before. We decided to give it a shot and we were not disappointed! The brewery is hard to miss - bright red paint, that resembles a fire station. As soon as you walk in, its bright and vibrant. An extremely welcoming atmosphere. It is certainly one of the nicest establishments in Sylvan.The staff was pleasant and attentive. They took time to explain the various beers and food items on their menu. Definitely give the sandwiches a shot, as they are delicious. Our favorite was the Lone-Star. Finally, the beer was great. I am not a huge fan of beer, but the Commoner was great for a tepid beer drinker like myself. My girlfriend, a much more eager beer drinker, enjoyed all of the beers (as we got a tasting board), but agreed that the Commoner was also her favorite. We enjoyed the Commoner so much that we brought home a growler of it! Definitely check out this new establishment in Sylvan, you will not be disappointed!
Such a great place, the wife and I always look forward to coming here when we are in the area! The venue is cozy and well done, the beers are on point, and the staff are amazing. Always trying to get family and friends here through recommending them.
Really fantastic beers! Today was our first visit to Undercurrent. Their space looked really cool, their beers were delicious, gotta love a hop, and their staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Just beware that if you don't have tap activated on your debit or credit card, you'll need to bring cash. I look forward to going back to try their upcoming brews, check out the patio that is almost done and maybe try some tasty foods. So far so good!
Stopped by in July, 2018. Really nice place right across the street from the lake. There interior is comfortable and there's a great patio. I had a flight of beer and really enjoyed the Commoner. The owners were very friendly and helped answer questions about the beer. I didn't eat but it looked like they have good snacks. I visited a few places in Sylvan Lake that weekend and Undercurrent was my favourite. Overall, a great place to hang out for a few hours and have a few drinks. Highly recommend.
We visited this brewery on a Wednesday afternoon. The patio was hot, the service was attentive and all the beer we sampled was delicious. They had some snacks available. The hummus and chips were good. The porter served with burned marshmallow sounds unusual but the smokiness blended perfectly with the flavour of the beer. We sampled 8 different varieties and enjoyed them all.
