Very good hot wings and great steak sandwich. Nice breeze off the upper deck enjoying the view. Wish the mrs. Was here this day.
If I could give less stars I would. Went at 7pm on Friday night for some food, drinks and live music. We were told by the first waitress that we would be waiting a bit to be seated. Then we saddled up to the bar downstairs and were quickly told by the second waitress that we would be waiting too. It seemed like they were both really needing to warn us that it would be a long wait. We thought that maybe someone had called in sick causing them to feel overwhelmed and slammed by the small crowd. So we asked and were told that no, this is just the way it is now. When we asked who the band was the waitress scrunched up her face and said the name and then discouraged us even further by saying that it was definitely for the older crowd (we are in our 40s!!!). So basically, we walked into Pier 7 and were never even offered a menu or a drink. The two staff only had enough time to explain that we would be waiting, that we probably wouldnt like the live music, and that they run Pier 7 like that now. Thanks for the honesty Pier 7. Because you sure delivered on that. Why not spend that time handing us some menus and offering us a drink? We left because we felt like we burdened you by walking in the door. We are locals who support local. We went to Fireside instead and had a great meal with solid service. Dismal doesnt even begin to describe the future of Pier 7, and I think you guys know that already. Maybe thats why you dont care anymore. Youve given up. Time to close the doors.UPDATE: Thanks to Pier 7 for the response. This is going to be a true watch-and-see, folks.
Pretty decent pub with two floors. I went for the Friday night live music and it was great but there was hardly anyone there. They have a nice patio on the upper floor. The food was very average, maybe just go for the music and drinks.
Service and prices are good. Food was decent. Typical pub food, huge portions. Laid back atmosphere. Kids welcome. We will definitely go back.
We made reservations for 4 couples tonight. 6 of us ordered steak and all 6 came out cold along with the veggies were cold, the scallops were not completely cooked and did not have a nice sear on them as scallops should, one of our group got halibut and it was extremely thin pieces and it was extremely dry and hard. There was something in the ice as well that we later found out was ceaser rim seasoning that was on the bar in such a way that it could fall into the ice. We asked to speak to the manager who we were told was too busy working in the kitchen to talk to us and they sent another waitress to speak to us instead. She apologized for the cold food etc. They did not offer to do anything for us and when we got the bills there was nothing taken off the bill and we still paid full pop plus the 20% gratuity because we were a group of 8. One of our people sent his steak back and when he found out they were just going to reheat his steak he told them to not bother as his steak was rare so once they reheat it then its not going to be rare anymore.I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone at all. It still amazes me that the manager could not take 2 minutes of her time to come speak to a group in person and try to do something to look after her customers.
