Good service, pretty good food for a chain. One of the better Joey's Only around.
The experience was terrible this time at Sylvan Lake. Waitress took our order and we waited and waited at least three quarters of an hour. We could see our waiter visiting at 2 different tables. She was back and forth between the 2 bringing no drinks or anything. Plain to see she was visiting. No order book either the second round of visiting. I could see plates sitting on top shelf of kitchen but didn't know if it was ours!! Finally another waitress comes out of the bathroom...goes to kitchen and brings us those 2 plates I saw. Well fries were barley warm...zuccina was cold. Fish was a little warmer than fries. Finally original waitress came back to our table and ask if everything was alright. I said my zuccina is cold and rest is just warm. She offered to bring another zuccina but I said no....didnt want to wait another three quarters of an hour. Then we waited and waited for our bill. Finally my husband went to the till and no checkout girl. Waited there. Finally she came and then to top it all off she didn't know how to ring in a gift card. So she had to get another waitress...one who brought our food!! It was a very disappointing supper. We have been going to Sylvan for years ....this is the worst experience we've ever had!! Previous owners were awesome...took your order right away and received food within 15 to 20 minutes. Check came while still eating most of the time!! Very disappointed!!!
Food was fresh, pleasant service, smiles, a mixture of customers , children in high chairs, younger family and seniors.4/5
Service was great but the fish has gone downhill. Crisp on the outside and mush on the inside.
I love the place. They have a massive fish tank in the center of the circular restaurant which our kids love. The service is fast and efficient and the food is good. It's never been crowded. It is hard to have a private conversation due to the acoustic effect of the dome.
